Looking back- Ireland in Christmas Praise 2021
We were delighted to be able to put on two Christmas Concerts in the Waterfront Hall on 17 and 18 December, inviting both an in-person audience and a virtual audience to join us for two great nights of Christmas praise.
Under the direction of our Creative Director Jonathan Rea, 150 singers from New Irish Choir and New Irish Youth Choir and 50 players from New Irish Orchestra joined together in the Waterfront Hall for Ireland in Christmas Praise, alongside special guest soloists Joanne Hogg, Sylvia Burnside, Ryan Garnham, Oliver Rea, Julie Piggott and Rebekah Devlin.
The concert featured a varied programme, from the triumphant ‘Joy to the World’ featuring our full Choir, Orchestra and audience, to the moving and intimate ‘Silent Night’, performed as a duet by Sylvia Burnside and Ryan Garnham. You can visit our Facebook page or our YouTube channel to see some video and photo highlights from the events.
Having not been able to do the event with a live audience in 2020, this year felt all the more special. We are so thankful to all those who were involved in the event, as well as to all those who supported the work of New Irish Arts in buying their ticket and coming along or watching from home.
We are currently working towards plans for 2022 and look forward to sharing these in due course.
